FOR DRY SKIN
Rich, emollient formulations are best for dehydrated and dry skin. You should use products containing humectants, like hyaluronic acid and glycerine, that attract moisture to the skin, and emollients such as shea butter and squalene to seal the moisture in the skin. Cleanser: Opt for a cleanser which is a non-soap cream or milky formula. Foaming cleansers tend to be more drying, so avoid them. Ensure that the cleanser has plenty of emollients and fatty acids that fortify the skin’s protective barrier. Day moisturiser/Sunscreen: For the day, look for moisturisers with shea butter, coconut or jojoba oils, and antioxidants like vitamin E which moisturise well but are not too greasy under make-up. Use a cream-based broadspectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Night Moisturiser: Opt for rich creams containing ingredients like ceramides as night moisturisers. Ceramides are lubricating lipids that go deep into the skin and replace natural oils.
