FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

Hair - - Skin Care -

Steer clear of products with detergents, perfumes, acids, alcohol and retinols. Opt for ones with ingredients known to soothe the skin, such as chamomile or soy. Cleanser: Look for ‘fragrance-free’, ‘soap-free’ and ‘hypoallergenic’ on the label. Cleansers containing mild surfactants, such as cocamidopropyl betaine and polysorbate 20 are usually safe to use. Day Moisturiser/Sunscreen: Try and avoid chemical sunscreens. Read the label carefully. Choose sunscreens with ingredients like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. These natural minerals physically block UVA and UVB rays without causing irritation. Night Moisturiser: Sensitive skin is prone to redness and rosacea. You can use an ultra mild, fragrancefree cream with humectants and emollients to heal the skin’s protective barrier. Look for ingredients like plant-derived licorice root extract or feverfew, both proven to calm inflammation.
