Dear Reader,

2016 has been a whirlwind of a year—for some, it was the best year ever while some couldn’t be happier that they’re done with it. One way or the other, we’re just thrilled to welcome a whole new year with new opportunities knocking at our door. Taking that thought forward, we present our January 2017 issue—celebrating the New Year, new styles and new YOU. I love the vibe that the New Year brings with it. It’s a time for a fresh start and new resolutions—and one resolution that I definitely put on my list is to try newer things with my hair! Start this year on a trendy note by staying abreast with current style sensations straight from the biggest fashion show runways. We’ve curated the best of the lot in our Hair and Beauty cover stories 2017’s Hottest Hair Trends and In the Limelight respectively. Most of you will be busy making New Year resolutions too and it’s only fitting that you spare one for hair care as well. Follow hair maven Shahnaz Husain’s advice as she lists hair care must-dos in Healthy Hair Resolutions. As you embrace the new, there are some things better left behind, specially when it comes to dated hair trends. Our feature Bid Aideu points out which ones need an immediate upgrade! While you’re showing tough love, part ways with eight harmful beauty habits too, as listed in Time to Breakup. This issue is full of tons of inspiration for looks that spell ‘new’—shaggy cuts, scrunched textures and plenty of colour for men and women alike. So, as you celebrate the beginning of a new chapter, start it with great hair and great enthusiasm! Happy experiments and good luck!
