Root for Repair

Hair - - Hair Care -

A hot water hair wash spells nothing but torture for your hair. Always use room temperature water for this purpose. As summer arrives, pamper your locks regularly with hair packs to undo the damage inflicted on your hair by pollution, chemical treatments and the sun. These will ensure your hair is conditioned and healthy. Hairstylist Ansari Sheikh suggests, “For oily hair, use warm olive oil with the juice of half a lemon. Massage this into the roots, comb out and wrap a hot towel around your hair for ten minutes. Then wash off. Those with dry hair can beat an egg together with a cup of skimmed milk till it foams. Rub this onto the scalp, leave on for 15 minutes and follow it with a thorough rinse. For normal hair, a teaspoon of lavender extracts added to a small bottle of castor oil works beautifully. Warm it and massage it into your scalp at night. Shampoo in the morning for lustrous locks!”
