Master ‘I woke up like this’ style with natural-looking texture and undefined waves. Moroccanoil Global Ambassador Antonio Corral Calero created an ‘undone and disheveled’ look with washed out oranges and pinks to reflect the ‘up all night and carefree’ essence of the brand, as described by Alice Temperley MBE.
Recreate the look:
Prep the hair with Moroccanoil Blow Dry Concentrate – one or two pumps, depending on the thickness and length of hair. Dry the hair, using your fingers, to maintain its natural texture. Section the hair from the front to the crown, creating a casual centre parting. Section hair from temple to temple around the back of the head, creating a straight parting, and pin the top section away. Fix a pastel coloured pink/orange extension into the root, along the parting. Unpin the top section and allow hair to fall naturally back into place. To create a powdery texture, spray the hair all over with Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo. Taking inch sections, enhance the hair’s natural movement by bending it loosely round a large barrel tong, away from the face. Once the whole head has been tonged, rake your fingers through it to create a dishevelled look. Take loose strands from the front of the hair and tuck them casually behind the ears, without letting the ears show. Spray hair lightly with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium, to finish the look. Odile Gilbert took the undone look to the next level at Zac Posen, using Moroccanoil products to reflect the ‘modern and romantic style’ of ‘today’s fresh and carefree girl’. Odile described the hair on the SS17 runway as ‘soft and beautiful with lots of dry and controlled texture’.
Recreate the look:
Start with damp hair and use fingers to distribute a generous amount of Moroccanoil Volumising Mousse through strands from root to tip. Rough dry with a ceramic hairdryer using the diffuser attachment. Using a half inch barrel curling iron, wrap random sections of hair around the iron, leaving the ends free. Flip your head upside down and shake out the hair with your hands. Then, generously mist the entire head with Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo and Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray, giving the hair textured volume and hold with a dry, gritty finish. Beginning at the top, gently pull hair towards the back of the head – leaving lift and volume at the roots – and secure with a large hair pin. Do the same for the hair at the sides of the head, crisscrossing the two sections, and secure with hair pins. The sections chosen should be random to achieve a carefree look. Pull out a few face-framing wisps and mist in place with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray. Finally, mist the entire style with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray, creating added shine, hold and piecey-ness.
