A treatment you swear by:

One of the best beauty treatments, which is crucial for exquisite skincare according to me, is exfoliation. As quoted in my book

this is one treatment which not only results in smooth skin but also allows better penetration of active ingredients. It takes off the topmost layers of dead skin, and it also gets rid of the build-up of dirt, sebum (oil secreted by the sebaceous glands) and other germs and bacteria that are trapped in the pores, helping to reveal glowing

and radiant skin.

A favourite skin remedy:

Since I have extremely dry skin, I would use the following exfoliating face mask as mentioned in my book: Make a paste out of two tbsps of honey (it’s a humectant and helps to retain moisture), two tbsp of castor oil and one tbsp of crushed oats. Leave on for 5-7 minutes before washing off with water and patting dry. This scrub is

very effective for dry skin.

The big question—how to deal with acne?

Acne, medically known as acne vulgaris, is a skin disease that involves the oil glands at the base of hair follicles. It commonly occurs during puberty when the sebaceous (oil) glands become active—the glands are stimulated by male hormones produced by the adrenal glands of both males and females. Simply put, dead skin cells, sebum and hair can clump together into a plug, this plug gets infected with bacteria, resulting in a swelling. A pimple starts to develop when the plug begins to break down. In many cases, topical application of anti-acne creams and gels is what will be sufficient to heal the acne, but at times, one may need to take oral medications. After a proper evaluation, the doctor can prescribe the required medication, which needs to be advised after a through clinical investigation. So, always go to a doctor to deal with

acne issues.

You wish people stop making this skin mistake:

People feel that there is no treatment for sensitive skin type. There are people who always feel that no product or treatment suits them. Such skin types can also be guided to attaining great skin quality

and texture.

Care products that are always in your bag:

A sunscreen, hand sanitiser and a good moisturiser have to be an integral part of the skincare regime on a daily basis. Hence, they always find a way in

my bag.

Your personal skin saviour:

An anti-ageing night cream.
