How did you blend the beauty looks with Nachiket’s collection?

Sushma: We created the beauty looks keepingeping in mind our mutual sensibilities of the modern ern Indian bride. Balancing the hair and make-up with th the clothes, we ensured that the colour palettete had hues of metallic gold and light shades of berry that complemented the ensembles.

Heena: The delicate halo braids on the hairair were crafted to bring the entire look into harmony ony and reflect a bride’s timeless beauty.

How can these trends be adapted to suit the Indian festive season? Any tips to make the looks wearable?

Heena: The looks showcased here are elegant to wear for any function and therefore extremely functional. Braids are versatile in nature, so one can opt for halo braids or side-braids with soft waves, depending on the occasion.

Sushma: The holographic highlights for your cheeks and coloured graphic liners with metallic reflects for your eyes can be worn for any function, during the day or in the night. They are versatile to wear and should be on your list of trends to try this festive season.

Please share a look breakdown for our readers to try.

Sushma: To achieve this runway look, opt for a concealer and foundation that matches your skin colour. Blend it well to achieve a flawless base. Next, use a metallic gold liner on your eyes to give them an ethereal look. Add to your cheeks by using a holographic highlighter along with a light blush to make the skin look luminous. Finish by adding some colour to your pout by opting for a light shade of berry lip colour.

What hot hair and beauty trends can we expect to see in autumn/winter ’17?

Sushma: This year’s Show Stopping Bridal Collection look book has all the trends you should be wearing this festive season. You can expect to see make-up with holographic highlights and prismatic hues. For the eyes, we have used techniques like technicolor and interrupted liners to accentuate them yet keep them minimal. A few more highlights are the beautiful Sunset and Rose Gold eyes that will add elegance and a pop of colour to your look.

Heena: The look book also has elaborate hair trends like Smocking, S-waves and Cornrows that will allow any bride to look effortlessly stylish. with Lakmé Salon’s backstage experts has given me great support as the hair and make-up for my show turned out to be just simply stunning and fitting for a Nachiket Barve bride.

What was the creative thought behind this collection?

The collection ‘THEIA’ is inspired by the Greco-Roman Goddesses, like Aphrodite, Hera, Gaia, Artemis and Athena. It celebrates femininity that is strong, individualistic and timeless. Imbuing the different qualities of these Goddesses, the collection is a juxtaposition of feminine and soft detailing with the toughness and metallic sheen of a warrior’s armour. Greek drapery, the Toga, panelled skirts, bias cutting and capes that graze the shoulders form some of the key elements of the collection. The silhouettes in the range attempt to find meaning and relevance for the clothes beyond festive occasions by letting the wearer mix and match and wear the statement separates in exciting new ways.
