Initial Discussions...

A Preferences, past works and price; someone who understands my likes and dislikes. Also, the kind of products they use; as I am a vegan, I had to check if the products used by my MUA are cruelty-free. A On Trial Sessions... If not multiple trials, check if the MUA is open to at least one trial session. You must know whether a look you’ve chosen for your special day actually works for you.

Skin Prep Time...

A The earlier the better. Not to get worked up thinking about ‘bridal glow’. A simple and regular cleansingtoning-moisturising routine would do.

Deciding the D-Day Look...

A Whether it’s an indoor or an outdoor wedding helps in deciding how heavy/light the apparel and make-up should be. My traditional wedding rituals will involve changing into multiple saris in short spans. My MUA should ensure that my hair and make-up match all the saris. Needless to say, the hair should be styled accordingly as well.
