ashish anand “India Art Fair is among the most significant events in the Indian art scene. We’re showcasing close to 1,000 works of art—in a museumlike display—including the pioneering pieces of Indian modern art beginning from the 19th century to contemporary times. With so much ground to cover, we’ve curated the exhibition

into nine categories, beginning from the Early Bengal School to works by modern figures such as MF Husain, Akbar Padamsee, and the Cholamandal Artists’

Village. Another highlight will be our sculpture section that will include must-see pieces by the likes of Satish Gujral, Dhanraj Bhagat, KS Radhakrishnan, and

Raghav Kaneria.”

sunaina anand “More than a place for aficionados, the Fair is a way of drawing in those who are not as familiar with art. Luring the crowds in this year at the Fair’s entrance will be Paresh Maity’s installation, Paresh has turned industrial scrap to create 50 ants that will line the walls and floor on the days of the Fair. The genius really is his ability to use simple, redundant material, and turning it into a work that speaks about the energy and strength that comes from being together. Some portions of the installation have been viewed before, but this is the first time is being showcased in India, in its entirety.”
