You prob­a­bly have a daily regime to keep your face clean and mois­tur­ized. But what about your hard­work­ing hands and feet? They are the most ne­glected parts of our body, and are more likely to look dull and dry in the cold. Dr Soma Sarkar, Med­i­cal Di­rec­tor & Der­ma­tol­o­gist, Skin Inn, Mum­bai, tells you how to put your best foot and hand for­ward.

WIN­TER WISE Use lipid and ce­ramide­based creams for hands and feet; ap­ply it twice or thrice daily. Don’t wash your hands and feet too of­ten; use a mild cleanser. Wear gloves while do­ing house­hold chores. Go for reg­u­lar hand and foot mas­sages. Wear footwear at home, and try to wear a footwear which cov­ers your feet. Wear cot­ton gloves and socks dur­ing night­time. Use this home­made pack. Mix 1 cup of yo­ghurt, some honey and twothree drops of lime juice. Ap­ply on your hands and feet, leave it on for 15 min­utes and wash it off. Do this twice a week. El­bows are also one of the most ne­glected parts of your hand, so the skin on that area
