Ja­mun Smoothie

SERVES 1 INGREDIENTS Seed­less fresh ja­mun, 150 gms; low fat yo­ghurt, 150 gms; brown sugar, 2 tsp; ice cubes (op­tional); mint leaves for gar­nish METHOD Wash the ja­mun and de­seed them. Add ja­mun, low fat yo­ghurt, brown sugar and some ice cubes in a blen­der and blend till smooth. Trans­fer the mix­ture in a bowl by pass­ing it through a sieve, for a smooth flow­ing con­sis­tency. Pour the smoothie in a fash­ion­able glass and gar­nish with ja­mun and mint.

SERVES 1 INGREDIENTS Seed­less fresh litchi, 6; rose essence; 1 tsp, litchi essence, 1 tsp; melted dark cho­co­late, 70 gms; skimmed milk, 20 ml; litchi, crum­bled cho­co­late and cherry for gar­nish METHOD Clean and de­seed the litchis. Melt dark cho­co­late on a dou­ble boiler. Mix skimmed milk and cho­co­late. Let the mix­ture cool and come to room tem­per­a­ture. Add rose and litchi essence. Ar­range a bed of litchis in a small glass fol­lowed by a layer of cho­co­late. Re­peat this ar­range­ment. Re­frig­er­ate for three hours. Gar­nish with litchi, crum­bled dark cho­co­late and cherry. Serve cold.
