Taapsee Pannu unveils the August 2017 issue of ‘H& N’

Iwas born to do stunts,” said the newest action queen of Bollywood Taapsee Pannu at the unveiling of the August 2017 issue of ‘Health & Nutrition’, the cover of which she had graced. The event, held at Magna Lounge, Mumbai, was jam-packed with media people. And Taapsee looked picture-perfect in her stunning white dress, on-point makeup and strappy stilettoes - a pleasant contrast to her on-screen image. She was joined on the dais by Nari Hira, Chairman, Magna Publishing Co Ltd; Vinodini Krishnakumar, Editor, ‘Health & Nutrition’; and emcee Vishaal Rasquinha. While the press had a field day bombarding the ‘Pink’ actress with questions, Taapsee, on her part, won over all those present with her fun and witty replies. On being called the ‘action gal’ of Bollywood, following her dare-devil stunts in ‘Baby’ and ‘Naam Shabana’, she laughingly said, “As a child, I would jump from my balcony and run away to play. I would race on my cycle on the streets of Delhi. So action always came naturally to me, but the world is watching it now.”

On the secret behind her toned and fit body, she replied that she was always a ‘nerd kid’ with braces, glasses and a well-built body. “I only lived to eat, still do. But even a single spoon of butter shows on my body, so I have to work very hard to keep my body in shape.” From becoming an engineer to debuting in South cinema to making it in Bollywood and starting a wedding planning company, the media got a peek into the many avatars of the Delhi-bred Mumbai gal. “I love experimenting. I myself don’t know what will come next,” said a smiling and exuberant Taapsee. After a quick glimpse of her upcoming projects and posing with the magazine for the shutterbugs, the beautiful actress bid everyone farewell as the event came to a rocking close!
