Health & Nutrition - - CONTENTS -

Do you know the most advanced fitness machine ever created? Your own body! But a lack of physical activity can ruin the good condition of this machine, while movement and physical exercise can save and preserve it. ‘Exercise’ is the pill that has a lot of benefits. It not only strengthens your heart and muscles but also boosts your brain in all ages. Regular exercise boosts brain, heart health, blood circulation and keeps you active all through the day. According to a recent study, people who exercised during their work day were 23 % more productive on those days than they were when they didn’t exercise. But unfortunately, people these days follow a sedentary lifestyle that makes their body home to a myriad number of diseases and health problems. People need to realize the importance of leading a healthy and fit lifestyle to live a happy and sustained life. There is an alarming need to spread awareness about fitness and exercise for a better future. GFFI Fitness Academy, a leading fitness education institute that has trained over 18,000 trainers in and outside India, has undertaken the initiative to promote a healthy and fit lifestyle. They are organizing a fitness Event called ‘INDIAN GLADIATOR CHALLENGE’ in October this year at the Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. This event is going to offer a fun-filled and thrilling day to all the fitness enthusiasts and general public. The event is organized by fitness expert Neeraj Mehta, who is a fitness therapist and nutritionist, having worked in the industry for more than three decades. He has also mastered 14 different fitness disciplines, including karate, taekwondo, kickboxing, Tai chi, iron yoga, pilates, high intensity workout, strength training, powerlifting and cross-training. He represented India in IJK World Judo Championship held in Miami (USA) along with other fitness championships and is also associated with Tata Sky’s interactive venture and India’s first fitness channel ‘Tata Sky Active Fitness’ in collaboration with Brilliant Living TV. He has also developed a corrective exercise technology called ‘BMX Strength’ that has been recognized internationally. The event, also in association with renowned TV actors like Sachin Khurana, Vipul Roy, Iqbal Khan and singer Shibani Kashyap, consists of various competitive categories to compete in, a number of healthy food stalls offering delectable guilt-free food, free goodies, gifts plus cash prizes worth 50 lakh.
