Festive cheer: 15% pay hike likely for Haryana govt employees
CHANDIGARH: The Haryana cabinet will take up on October 25 the report of a committee, headed by chief secretary DS Dhesi, which examined the recommendations of 7th central pay commission and decisions of the Centre.
The committee, set up to devise modalities for implementation of recommendations of the pay panel, is learnt to have recommended 15% hike in pay of the state employees in its report.
“The state panel has not taken any view on perks recommended by the 7th pay commission, as the Centre is still to take decision on perquisites,” sources said.
The committee, comprising Dhesi, additional chief secretaries Rajan Gupta and P Raghavendra Rao, principal secretary Anurag Rastogi and special secretary Ashima Brar, had submitted its report to the government on Thursday.
The panel, which was constituted on August 8, deliberated on issues related to pay revision, besides hearing more than 200 representatives of various employee associations, unions, groups and departments, before finalising its recommendations.
As per the government decision, the revised pay structure will be applicable to the state government employees with effect from January 1, 2016.
