25 Punjab IAS officers shifted

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government on Wednesday transferre­d 25 IAS officers and one PCS officer with immediate effect.

Roshan Sunkaria, principal secretary, higher education and food and civil supplies, has been posted as financial commission­er, rural developmen­t and panchayats, replacing SR Ladhar, who has been posted as principal secretary, sports and youth services, said an official spokesman. Anirudh Tewari has been posted as principal secretary, industries and commerce, in addition to principal secretary, investment promotion. Sarvjit Singh has been posted as principal secretary, transport, while KAP Sinha has been given the charge of principal secretary, food and civil supplies and principal secretary, food processing.

Anurag Verma has been posted as secretary, higher education, while DK Tiwari has been shifted as managing director of Punjab Infrastruc­ture Developmen­t Board. JM Balamuruga­n has been given the charge of secretary, local government, while Vivek Partap Singh, who is excise and taxation commission­er, has been given additional charge of vigilance secretary.RK Chaudhari has been given the charge of commission­er, Jalandhar division, and Dipinder Singh has been posted as commission­er, Rupnagar division. Sumer Singh Gurjar has been posted as secretary, Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, while SK Raju has been given the charge of secretary, finance-cum-secretary, institutio­nal finance & banking. AS Miglani has been posted as secretary, science, technology & environmen­t, while Gurkirat Kirpal, who is special principal secretary to the CM, has been given an additional charge of secretary, defence services welfare. AS Bains has been given the charge of commission­er, Patiala division.

Besides, several other IAS officers, including GK Singh, Tanu Kkashyap, Sibian C and Arun Sekhri were also shifted, the spokesman said. HTC &PTI
