SPIRAL OF HIGHCOST HEALTH CARE

-

The Haryana government has fixed MBBS fee at Rs 10 lakh per annum in private colleges. How can anybody expect affordable medical care from a doctor who spends around Rs 60 lakh for the full course, most times on loan? The only affordable healthcare one gets is at government hospitals, but doctors are loath to go there due to the poor salary that does not even guaranteea decent standard of living. In government medical colleges, we have the best students due to the low cost. Private hospitals then get these doctors, starting a spiral of high-cost medical care.
