Lalu dubs Nitish Kumar ‘Paltu Ram’ of Indian politics

PATNA: RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Tuesday hit back at chief minister Nitish Kumar, terming him the “Paltu Ram” (turncoat) of Indian politics, and said recent cases against him and his family were lodged by the Centre at Nitish’s behest. “Can CBI raid premises of any leader holding a constitutional post without knowledge of the CM?” he asked, apparently referring to the raid on former deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. Lalu said he, like everyone else, was aware of Nitish’s opportunistic pursuit for power, but still agreed to tie up with him.
