PSAY demand survey gets 11,417 applications

CHANDIGARH: The demand survey started under Punjab Shehri AwasYojna(PSAY)hasreceived 11,417 applications. Of these, 7,373 applications have been received in free and affordable housing category. These applicants have applied for allotment of free houses to SC/BC and subsidised houses for the Economically Weaker Sections other than SC/BC.

Another 3,544 applications are for cash subsidy up to Rs 15 lakh, which is to be utilised by beneficiaries for converting kuchha house into Pucca house or for expansion of house, according to an official spokesperson.
