India to grow at 7% in 2017-18: World Bank
India’s economy decelerated to 5.7% in the June quarter of 2017-18, the lowest since the economy grew at 5.3% in the March quarter of 2013-14, the World Bank said on Monday. It reduced India’s growth projection to 7% for 2017-18 from 7.2% earlier, blaming disruptions caused by demonetisation and GST’s implementation. It, however, said the economy would claw back to grow at 7.4% by 2019-20, fuelled by a sharp improvement in investment demand .
