Police bust vehicle thief gang in Moga; two held

MOGA: The district police on Wednesday busted a vehicle thief gang with the arrest of its two members during a raid at two workshops in Moga. The accused have been identified as Mukhtiar Singh alias Makhan, a resident of Dharamkot, and Jagmohan Singh alias Mohna, a resident of Moga. Both of them ran their own automobile workshops and used to tamper the engines and chassis numbers of stolen cars. The police have recovered five vehicles, including a Skoda, a Swift, a Creta and two trucks from Makhan’s workshop at Kmalke village, They also seized a Beat car from Mohna’s garage in the town.
