CM suspends dist mining officer on complaint
NARNAUL: On a complaint concerning illegal mining, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday suspended the district mining officer of Mahendergarh, an official statement said. He also ordered the suspension of a bus conductor following a complaint of eve-teasing, it read. Addressing the grievances of people at a “Janta Darbar” held here, Khattar said the state government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy on corruption. He directed officers of the public health engineering department to lodge FIRs against those drawing water illegally from government pipelines, the release said. Khattar said line losses of power corporations had been brought down to 24% from 30% after the formation of the BJP government.
