Mother of victim dies of heart attack

HYDERABAD: It was double tragedy in the family of 50-year-old Devanbathuni Leelavathi who died in the boat capsize incident on Sunday. Her 85-year-old mother, Lakshmikanthamma, died of heart attack on seeing the daughter’s body at her residence in Ongole town in Prakasam district on Monday.

Leelavathi was staying with her mother since the former’s husband died a few years ago. After news of the boat mishap, , Lakshmikanthamma was emotionally disturbed. When Leelavathi’s body was brought home, she cried inconsolably before losing consciousness. Family members called a doctor, who declared that the old woman died of a massive heart attack. HTC
