While Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is sincerely making efforts to provide relief from smog, no one is willing to cooperate. The CMs of Punjab and Haryana are merely passing the buck despite knowing that the problem erupted from their respective states. With no one to help, Kejriwal deployed fire brigades to sprinkle water over field fires. Though the exercise brought some temporary relief, the effort was not appreciated. Why NGT has not amended the laws related to air pollution? Why are we still imposing fines on the ones caught burning stubble instead of ordering immediate arrests? DS Thukral, Ambala
