GANGSTER RAVI DEOL SENT TO JUDICIAL CUSTODY
SANGRUR : A local court on Sunday sent gangster Ravi Deol — wanted in eight cases in Sangrur and named in the Bhola drug case too — to judicial custody. Deol was produced before judicial magistrate first class Jagbir Singh Mehandiratta after eightday police remand.
Ravi surrendered before a court, 11 years after remaining underground, on January 30. On February 3, a court had remanded him in police custody as wanted to take him to Mumbai to recover a pistol, used in an attempt to murder case.
“Police have recovered a car after interrogating him. He told police that he has destroyed all things in Mumbai,” said Harmeet Singh Hundal, superintendent of police (detective).
Deol was declared a proclaimed offender in 2007 and was named in the Bhola drug case in 2013.
