FIAT DRIVES THE ICONIC JEEP INTO INDIA, FINALLY

Fiat Chrysler on Tuesday launched the Jeep brand in India with two models — Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. The Wrangler is priced at ₹71.59 lakh, while the Grand Cherokee will be available in three variants — the SRT (₹1.12 crore), the 3litre diesel powered Summit (₹1.03 crore) and the 3litre, 8speed diesel version Limited priced at ₹93.64 lakh. The company will start local production at Ranjangoan in Pune from the second quarter of next year, Fiat Chrysler India president and MD Kevin Flynn said. The India launch marks 75 years of the Jeep.
