‘Never played for records’
Jhulan Goswami, the leading wicket-taker in women’s ODIs, says she never played for records and feels that the team’s triumph in the quadrangular series in South Africa was good preparation for the World Cup beginning next month. The 34-year-old had surpassed the record of 180 wickets, previously held by the Australian fast bowler Cathryn Fitzpatrick for nearly 10 years. She now has a tally of 185.
