Accident victim’s kin get ₹8 lakh compensation

The parents of a 24-year-old man, who was killed in a road accident involving a rashly driven vehicle in Gurgaon in 2012, have been awarded a compensation of ₹8 lakh by a motor accident claims tribunal. MACT presiding officer Vidya Prakash asked Oriental Insurance Company, the insurer of the tempo, to pay the money to the parents of Parveen Kumar, the victim.
