CM RIDES NUMBERLESS BIKE; SUPPORTERS IGNORE HELMET
KARNAL : On his visit to take stock of preparations for BJP national president Amit Shah’s rally in Jind, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar rode a bike along with his supporters as a rehearsal
However, the CM rode a bike that had no registration number on the number plate, violating rules of the Motor Vehicle Act that are punishable with a fine.
Even the supporters who followed the CM did not wear helmets.
The pictures of CM violating rules went viral on social media by Wednesday afternoon, with many criticising him for setting a bad example.
Several rehearsal rallies carried out in Jind and Rohtak also saw bikers riding without helmets with no one to keep a check.
On being asked about opposition parties’ protest against the rally, Khattar said, “Great pleasures in life come when we overcome the hardest of challenges,” he said.
