EXAM PATTERNS DOING MORE HARM

Hindustan Times (Bathinda) - - Region -

Full syllabus exams put a lot of pressure on students. The continuous comprehensive evaluation (CCE) system encouraged students to participate in extracurricular activities instead of focusing just on academics. It also divided the syllabus into smaller parts. How can anyone expect a student to memorise an entire book which is taught over an entire year? As a Class-9 student, I have no time left for playing or socialising. Children shouldn’t be treated as adults and it’s important to understand that every child has their own capacity and capability. Manroop Kaur
