Gurgaon school murder: HC seeks probe record

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana high court on Monday sought record of the investigation of murder of a seven year-old boy on September 8,2017, at a school in Gurgaon. A juvenile student of the same school has been charged by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) with murder.

The HC bench of Justice Rajan Gupta was hearing a bail plea of the juvenile accused denied by Juvenile Justice Board, Gurgaon. The court was told that appellant juvenile is entitled to bail as challan was not presented by the CBI within the statutory period of 90 days. CBI counsel Sumeet Goel was also asked to produce a status report on the probe so far and whether investigation has culminated.
