NEWDELHI: Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday ordered a department­al probe in the matter of a Class 9 student committing suicide in Noida. Leader of Opposition in Assembly Vijender Gupta demanded a department­al inquiry, and tabling of its report in the ongoing budget session. Sisodia said it needs to be ascertaine­d if the student committed suicide due to academic pressure.“i have already given orders for a department­al probe. I assure that if school authoritie­s are found guilty, appropriat­e action will be taken,” Sisodia said, adding that the school authority said they hadn’t received any (sexual harassment) complaint from the girl or her parents.
