SISODIA ORDERS INQUIRY

NEWDELHI: Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday ordered a departmental probe in the matter of a Class 9 student committing suicide in Noida. Leader of Opposition in Assembly Vijender Gupta demanded a departmental inquiry, and tabling of its report in the ongoing budget session. Sisodia said it needs to be ascertained if the student committed suicide due to academic pressure.“i have already given orders for a departmental probe. I assure that if school authorities are found guilty, appropriate action will be taken,” Sisodia said, adding that the school authority said they hadn’t received any (sexual harassment) complaint from the girl or her parents.
