Noting sheets missing from Hry govt file, UT police register report
CHANDIGARH : Chandigarh Police have registered a lost article report in the case of missing noting sheets from a Haryana government file containing documents and information about disciplinary proceedings initiated against Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi by the state government and quashed by the Central government.
An Uttarakhand-cadre officer now, Chaturvedi was a Haryanacadre officer when disciplinary proceedings were initiated against him. As per the copy of report registered on May 21, the original file noting and some correspondence pertaining to the file has been found missing.
The police report said the main file pertaining to a court matter was submitted by the additional chief secretary office to the chief minister’s office for taking decision to withdraw the writ, the police report said. The lost report was filed on a complaint an official in the office of the additional chief secretary, forest, Rajinder Singh Chillar.
A petition has been filed by the Haryana government in the Punjab and Haryana high court challenging the jurisdiction of the central government in quashing disciplinary proceedings against Chaturvedi.
