Three-day police remand for Lal Singh’s brother
JAMMU: BJP member of legislative assembly (MLA) Choudhary Lal Singh’s younger brother Choudhary Rajinder Singh, alias Bubby, was sent to a three-day police remand on Monday night by a Kathua executive magistrate.
Rajinder Singh, who was on the run since May 29, was arrested in Jodhpur by a special team of Kathua police on Sunday.
On May 21, police had lodged an FIR against Rajinder for hurling invectives at chief minister Mehbooba Mufti at a rally, the video clip of which had gone viral on social media.
The rally was organised by Lal Singh to mobilise public support for a CBI probe into the Kathua rape and murder case.
A senior police officer said, “The accused was produced before an executive magistrate, who sent him to a three day police remand.”
