AM­RIT­SAR: Indian women hockey team cap­tain, Rani Ram­pal, vis­ited the Khalsa Col­lege cam­pus here, on Satur­day.

Up­beat over the achieve­ment of sil­ver medal in the re­cently con­cluded Asian Games in Jakarata, In­done­sia, Rani said, “Indian Women Hockey has a bright fu­ture as the new tal­ent is be­ing nur­tured at the na­tional level. The girls of our coun­try are all set to show their prow­ess in the up­com­ing world events,” an en­thu­si­as­tic Ram­pal said. Vir­tu­ally a rags to riches story, Ram­pal who is an in­spi­ra­tion to the new tal­ent said, “My jour­ney started from a shanty at Shah­pur in Haryana.”
