DEPRESSED OVER EXAM RESULT, 21-YR-OLD BOY HANGS SELF

JALANDHAR: A student of Class 10 on Sunday committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan at his house, in New Jawahar Nagar, after he was declared fail in the compartment exam of English.

The deceased has been identified as Robin, 21, a resident of New Jawahar Nagar.

Robin’s aunt, Saroj Sharma told police that Robin was depressed over his exam result.

Police station division no 6, station house officer Onkar Singh Brar, said the body has been handed over to the family members after conducting postmortem under the proceedings of section 174 of the CRPC Act.
