Apropos, ‘Eyeing our land earns a befitting reply: Modi’ (June 29), so far, India’s response has neither been befitting nor have the incursions stopped. China is becoming aggressive and belligerent by the day. It is using pressure tactics by building up along the LAC in Ladakh and inching into our territory. Its aim is to redraw the LAC, dominate the Daulat Beg Oldi (DBO), pressure India to wean away from the West (primarily the US), and accept China as its big brother. This is not the time to squabble over politics or use diversionary tactics. We must unite as a nation and stand behind our military.
