Chris Hemsworth on doing Thor: Ragnarok

Hindustan Times (Chandigarh) - City - - ENTERTAINMENT -

While Chris Hemsworth was preparing to play Thor again, in Thor: Ragnarok, he was excited by the direction the character would take in the story. “This film, in particular, is the biggest character shift and a gear shift tonally in the storytelling, so that affects my approach,” Hemsworth says. “That was all birthed through director Taika Waititi’s vision and his sense of humor, his attitude and need for exploration. Doing something different paralleled what I wanted to achieve. It’s been one of the most exciting and fun sets.” While talking about the training, he said, “I probably did more fight scenes and stunts in this film. There was a lot more action and different weapons, which was great because you’re fairly limited by how the hammer can move. We had swords and all sorts of laser guns. The physical training was similar to the previous times. You have to eat a lot of the right food and train a lot. It’s a few hours a day in the gym and prepping meals and all the discipline that comes with it”
