Hit or Miss: Decoding Deepika’s Style File

From the chunky earrings to the electric green pantsuit, here’s what worked and what didn’t for Deepika Padukone

For her movie promotions, the actor stepped out in this Sabyasachi outfit, and accessorised it with oversized earrings that take the centre stage in the look. Middle-parted hair, winged eyes and a small bindi look perfect.

This electric green pantsuit from designer Monisha Jaising is a stunning breather from her regular traditional outings. Only the earrings looked a little out of place and she could have done without them.

The most striking element in this attire is the sheer cape attached to the blouse, which looks like a trail. Deepika, with the dreamy eye makeup, oozed pizzazz in this Sabyasachi sari, as the pallu elegantly flowed on the red carpet.

In this Benarasi red sari by Raw Mango with the blouse having semi-puffed sleeves, Deepika made quite a statement. The choice of gold jewellery, and subtle makeup was perfect for the regal look.

Deepika opted for this gorgeous organza sari from designer Anamika Khanna, for a Diwali bash. However, styling needed effort. The drape isn’t flattering her, and even the ruffled blouse looks overwhelming.
