PRABHAS ALL FOR RAISING THE BAR
For a fourminute action sequence in his debut Bollywood film, the actor underwent an extensive threemonth training programme
Baahubali star Prabhas will soon be shooting for a high octane chase sequence for his Bollywood debut, Saaho. He will be performing stunts on moving vehicles in this particular sequence and has been training for it. A source reveals that the Saaho team is “making sure to prep up Prabhas” for the chase. “His physical preparation involves “jogging, cardiovascular training, weight training, and plyometrics obstacle races, all of which will help him pick up the moves easily. He was also required to train for six to seven hours daily to master his moves,” says the source. “Saaho has a futuristic setup, which makes the actions and all the other scenes of the film that much advanced and high-paced. Special focus is on the action sequences of the film as the makers want those to be unprecedented,” the source says. After the massive success of Baahubali, Prabhas does not want to disappoint his fans who come into the theatres to watch the film, and has tried harder than ever to perfect each move. The actor wanted to make the scene seem as realistic as possible. “Given the importance of scene, Prabhas agreed to train — even if that meant training for three months for a high octane chase sequence that lasts barely four minutes. He didn’t want to take any chances as this sequence forms an integral part of the movie,” the source says. Saaho, which is a trilingual action thriller, will see him pair with Shraddha Kapoor.
