Hindustan Times (Chandigarh) - City - - Front Page - Prashant Singh

He is known to have maintained rock solid relationships with a number of his friends. Salman Khan’s special equation with filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala is one such relationship that goes back a long way. After all, they worked together way back in the 1997 super hit, Judwaa that brought them together for the first time. After that, the duo worked together on multiple projects with the latest one being Kick in 2014. Now, we have learnt that Salman and Sajid’s friendship recently came to the fore again when producer Atul Agnihotri and the superstar were looking for a particular title, Bharat for their next collaboration, which is an adaption of a 2014 Korean film, Ode To My Father. “Coincidentally, the title that Atul and Salman wanted was owned by Sajid. So, when Salman called him up about the title, Sajid happily gave it away. And it goes without saying that it all happened free of cost. In fact, Sajid readily gave away the title as he knows that the script demands it,” says an insider. Salman has always been extremely close to Sajid. “Their equation isn’t just professional but it’s equally strong in the personal sphere too. Their family members including Sajid’s wife Warda [S Nadiadwala] and their kids are also very close to Salman’s family,” says the insider. Professionally too, not just Judwaa, Salman and Sajid have worked together on films such as Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega (2000) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). Recently, Salman also made a special appearance in the rebooted version of Judwaa. A close friend of the actorfilm-maker duo says: “When Salman reached out to Sajid for the title, he was more than happy to give it to his friend.”
