DOS AND DON’TS

Choose a bold shade for your ceiling if your room is white or has a lighter shade. To enhance the look even more, go for the same coloured accessories. Decorate your ceiling with LED lights, as they are captivating and add mood without making the place too bright. A subtle gold effect makes the room look rich and warm. Geometric designs are the way to go for any contemporary home. If some of your rooms incorporate industrial chic, try exposed ceiling beams to complete the look. A colour should always be based on the theme of the house as well as how would they complement each other. For instance, kids room can have bright colours, whereas kitchens can have a darker shade. If you’re working with wooden planks, criss-cross them instead of placing them all in the same direction – the effect creates more character.
