Tools to enhance your productivity
Prof DC Sharma
Have you ever paid attention on how you can enhance your output and productivity? Well, most of us don't care to learn how we can. We keep on working hard, without ever improving on things which can help us to be at the top.
The end result is that in spite of all our sincere labour, we often lag behind.
So, wherein lay our weakness? It is simply our ignorance about the principles of enhanced productivity and output.
The first and foremost principle of rising higher and higher at the career rung is that we have so many distractions which often make us lose our focus.
Focus and single pointed concentration is the basic requirement which is a must for anyone searching for progress and prosperity.
It is only when we realize that concentration gets the things done most efficiently and perfectly that things are changed for the better.
The second most important problem with us as an employee is that we fear to begin with the hardest part of the work in hand. The more we fear and dreads the task, the more the problem aggravates.
But once we boosts our morale with the ideas that nothing is impossible and put sincere efforts, we can touch the pinnacles of glory in a short span of time.
To reach the top, an employee must know how to plan his work. It is only a good planning that provides the maximum inspiration to an employee to achieve his target.
It is with a good planning that one can find ways and means to enhance his output and productivity. With timely planning a large of number of problems are easily avoided and that too well in time. The wise saying which advises that all evils be nipped in the bud applies well when things are planned in time.
Some employees dare to spend much more time at the workplace, even saying that they devote overtime to earn more. Some even go to extent of giving less and less time to sleep.
Such a step at the cost of earning more and more is a dangerous one. Unless one devotes sufficient time to having a sound sleep, one is not in a position to get the maximum output.
A minimum of seven hours sleep is a must for all of us. But eight hours or even nine hours sound sleep can enhance our productivity all the more.
To enhance your output and productivity it is always better if you set such goals which are exciting. An exciting goal will always lead you to the best achievements and that too on a solid footing.
An exciting goal never lets you down. It is almost always encouraging to work at a project which is motivating and encouraging. But the goal which brings in you the feelings of pessimism is not a worthwhile goal.
With a boring goal you are almost always finished before you even begin to do such a job. So it is always a wise step to know well in time that you take up only inspiring and encouraging goals which let you reach the top sooner or later.
Prioritising your step in the right direction always give you the right direction to attempt in the best possible manner.
Those who know the benefits of this plan do their best with the help of this methodology. Doing the tough part of the work at first and the lighter parts later on never let you go down in spirits.
You always feel elevated with such a methodology, and even the work you do is of the best quality as you always feel in high spirits while doing the job this way. But those who do not follow this policy lose a lot of their energy and the real spark to ignite their real potential which alone can help enhance productivity.
It is always better if you learn to organise your work or job in hand. Better arrangement of work is a basic tool with which employee can give the maximum productivity to his organisation.
To organise well is not difficult at all. It simply needs to make it a point, almost daily before one begins the day's work, and with the passage of time, it becomes a habit with a worker.
You will see how beneficial it is when you once apply this in your life style and work style.
The above given techniques are not at all difficult. They are a matter of interest, and as you try to follow them one by one, you will really enjoy doing your work most smoothly, and most efficiently.
I have seen so many people doing their best once they take to these methods with a sense of dedication and sincerity. I am sure you too will enjoy applying these skills, and shall join the army of those who have already benefitted from this way.
But beware, you won't gain unless and until you have a firm faith in these tools, and only then you can expect the best results.
