Panchkula boys win creativity olympiad
■ PANCHKULA: Three boys won accolades at School Excellence Awards at IIT, New Delhi, on Friday and did the town proud.
Shreyas Chandgothia, a resident of Panchkula, was ranked first in the National Creativity Olympiad held at the IIT.
The awards ceremony was held at the IIT campus, New Delhi, as part of the seminar on Excellence in School Education organised by EduExcellence, NGO at New Delhi.
Edu-excellence CEO Lalit Jomwal awarded Shreyas with the cash prize of Rs 25,000.
Suyash Singh and Kashish Jain, both also residents of Panchkula, were declared second for classes 6 and 8 categories, respectively.
They received a cash prize of Rs 15,000 each. All three are students of St Kabir Public School, Sector 26, Chandigarh.

achievements by the school.
The School Excellence Awards were conducted all over the country for students of classes 6 to 11. Nearly 60,000 students participated in the first round.
Two toppers from each class were selected for the second round where the contestants were tested on 60 objective and subjective questions.
The olympiad is designed to assess a child's creative abilities and achievement motivation which is used to judge students on various parameters.
