Dhillon sup­porter man­han­dled

An ad­vo­cate be­long­ing to the Deepin­der Dhillon group was al­legedly man­han­dled by sup­port­ers of SAD can­di­date NK Sharma. Po­lice have booked twodozen peo­ple fol­low­ing a com­plaint.

In his com­plaint, Jasveer Singh al­leged that he had come to as­sess polling at a booth at Lo­hgarh, where a car be­long­ing to Sharma sup­port­ers car­ry­ing elec­tion ma­te­rial was parked. As he ob­jected, Sharma's sup­port­ers al­legedly at­tacked him, fol­low­ing which he suf­fered in­juries. The po­lice later booked Sharma's brother and nephew along with two-dozen uniden­ti­fied ac­com­plices.

Be­sides, Amandip Singh Gill and Rakesh Sharma, two Dhillon sup­port­ers, were booked on charges of dis­tribut­ing liquor at Dera Bassi on the eve of the polling Day.
