PU to organise science meet
■ CHANDIGARH: Panjab University will organise sixth Chandigarh Science Congress (CHASCON) starting from February 26 at the University Auditorium on university campus.
The event will feature comprehensive lectures by eminent scientists from all over the country. CHASCON is being held under the aegis of Chandigarh chapter of Indian Science Congress. CHASCON is the brainchild of Panjab University vice-chancellor Prof RC Sobti, which was started in the year 2007. Every year large number of researchers and faculty of the region attend the meeting.
The theme of the congress this year is 'synergy-together towards tomorrow'.
The congress is organised to foster better integration and interaction amongst scientists of the region. CHASCON shall provide a unique platform to the students of tricity to present their work in papers and posters.
To honour young scientists, this year awards will be given under the category 'young investigator awards' and 'project proposal awards' mentions congress.
