CHANDIGARH: Students who opted for vocational courses have secured equally well in the Central Board of Secondary Examination Class-12 results.

Manpreet Kaur has secured 94.8% in stenography and computer application.

"Special aptitude should be considered before taking admission and only then the students will excel. The zeal will have to come from within to study these courses," said Raviraj Kaur, principal of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37.

She added: "Manpreet Kaur and the tricity topper Mohit Gautam are regular to the school. Children who come school regularly score good."

Adeshpal Singh Minhas, who has secured 91.4% in information technology (IT), said, "I am glad to have proven all those wrong, who had thought taking IT was a wrong choice for me."

Another high scorer in IT is Uma Kumari from GMSSS32, who has secured 90.2%, and Rajat Dhingra from GMSSS-33 with 90.8%.
