3 booked for cheating
CHANDIGARH: The city police have registered three cases of cheating. In the first case Ravinder Singh Toor, a resident of Moga district alleged that Rajwant Vashist and his wife both resident of Sector-16, Panchkula took money from him to send his sister abroad. The complainant alleged that they neither sent his sister abroad nor returned the money. The police have registered a case of fraud under sections 420,120-B of IPC in the Sector 39, police station.
In another case Shekar Garu resident of Sector-22-D, alleged that Amit Pilot resident of Sholapur, Maharashtra tried to cheat him by demanding Rs 10,000 falsely for the expansion of business. The police have registered a case under sections 420,511 of IPC. A case has been registered in the Sector 17 police station. The accused has been arrested in the case.
In the third case Vishal Sharma of Income Tax Building, Azad Nagar, Una (HP) alleged that Sachin, Raijada and HIS Virk of Sahara Consultants Private Limited, took Rs 4 lakh from him to send him abroad on a work visa. But the accused sent him to Czech Republic on a tourist visa and also threatened him.
The police have registered a case under sections 420,342,506,120-B of IPC in the Sector 34 police station. The case is under investigation.
