3 booked for cheating

CHANDI­GARH: The city po­lice have reg­is­tered three cases of cheating. In the first case Ravin­der Singh Toor, a res­i­dent of Moga dis­trict al­leged that Ra­jwant Vashist and his wife both res­i­dent of Sec­tor-16, Panchkula took money from him to send his sis­ter abroad. The com­plainant al­leged that they nei­ther sent his sis­ter abroad nor re­turned the money. The po­lice have reg­is­tered a case of fraud un­der sec­tions 420,120-B of IPC in the Sec­tor 39, po­lice sta­tion.

In an­other case Shekar Garu res­i­dent of Sec­tor-22-D, al­leged that Amit Pi­lot res­i­dent of Sho­la­pur, Ma­ha­rash­tra tried to cheat him by de­mand­ing Rs 10,000 falsely for the ex­pan­sion of busi­ness. The po­lice have reg­is­tered a case un­der sec­tions 420,511 of IPC. A case has been reg­is­tered in the Sec­tor 17 po­lice sta­tion. The ac­cused has been ar­rested in the case.

In the third case Vishal Sharma of In­come Tax Build­ing, Azad Na­gar, Una (HP) al­leged that Sachin, Rai­jada and HIS Virk of Sa­hara Con­sul­tants Pri­vate Limited, took Rs 4 lakh from him to send him abroad on a work visa. But the ac­cused sent him to Czech Repub­lic on a tourist visa and also threat­ened him.

The po­lice have reg­is­tered a case un­der sec­tions 420,342,506,120-B of IPC in the Sec­tor 34 po­lice sta­tion. The case is un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
