POL SCIENCE PAPER SETTER DEBARRED FROM PU EXAM WORK
CHANDIGARH: Panjab University has debarred the paper setter of Indian political system of MA political science second semester, following the complaint lodged by students taking the test on May 28 that the paper was consisted of MA-II annual system 'local self government'.
The decision at a meeting of postgraduate board of studies of political science, which was chaired by Deepak Kumar Singh, chairman department of political science, Panjab University.
The board unanimously decided to debar the question setter, a professor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), from any examination related work. The board also decided to reschedule the paper before June 6.
The students had brought the errors to the notice of the invigilator, following which the officials of colleges contacted the controller of examination.
This was the third incident in last one week in which the question papers were found out of syllabus and not as per the pattern.
On May 24, the students of second semester of forensic sciences were made to suffer after the paper of fundamental of forensic physical science conducted by Panjab University was out of syllabus.
The question paper had all the five questions from syllabus of first semester.
Earlier, on May 17 the paper of fundamental of forensic sciences generated a lot of confusion among the students as the paper was out of syllabus and not as per the pattern.
