Dead­lock on MC of­fi­cers’ walk­out

CHANDI­GARH: With the dead­lock on the walk­out by of­fi­cers of mu­nic­i­pal cor­po­ra­tion from the House con­tin­u­ing, the ad­viser to UT ad­min­is­tra­tion KK Sharma on Satur­day sought a re­port from MC com­mis­sioner Vivek Pratap Singh.

Sharma said: "I have al­ready sought a re­port from MC com­mis­sioner, as he was present in the House. Ac­tion will be ini­ti­ated af­ter re­ceiv­ing the re­port."

On Fri­day, the of­fi­cers had staged a walk­out from the House af­ter the coun­cil­lors de­manded reg­is­tra­tion of a crim­i­nal case against them in the de­funct chlo­ri­na­tors case. De­cry­ing their at­ti­tude, the coun­cil­lors said they had lost faith in them.
