Seminar on waste management held
SAS NAGAR: A one-day seminar on ‘environment hazard and waste management in pharmaceutical industries’ was held at Small and Medium Pharmaceutical Industry Centre (SMPIC) on Saturday.
While inaugurating the seminar, KK Bhutani, director, said, “Science revolves around E: energy, environment, eco-system and e-governance.
He said the SMPIC was playing a vital role in the growth of pharmaceutical industry in the country.
“Small and medium industries play a critical role in overall health care system by providing affordable medicines,” he said.
The seminar covered topics like environment laws and regulatory requirements, safety management, disaster management, fire fighting, waste management and treatment technologies in pharmaceutical industries, air/water pollution and waste management.
